At Cablelab, every cable is built with longevity in mind.

We take pride in the quality of our workmanship and materials, which is why all Cablelab custom cables are covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and faults in workmanship.

This warranty reflects our commitment to building cables properly — and standing behind them long after they leave our studio.


What the Lifetime Warranty Covers

Our lifetime warranty covers functional faults that arise from:

  • Defects in materials

  • Issues caused by workmanship or assembly

  • Internal failures that occur during normal, intended use

If your cable develops a fault that falls under these conditions, we will repair or replace the cable at our discretion, ensuring it continues to function as intended.


What Is Not Covered

While our cables are built to last, the lifetime warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear over time

  • Cosmetic changes that do not affect functionality

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper handling

  • Accidental damage (including crushing, cutting, or liquid exposure)

  • Damage caused by excessive strain or improper cable management

  • Modifications, repairs, or alterations carried out by third parties

These exclusions allow us to keep the warranty fair, sustainable, and consistent for all customers.


Normal Wear & Longevity

Custom keyboard cables are functional components and may show signs of use over time.

Changes such as slight loosening of coils, surface marks, or natural ageing of materials are considered normal and do not affect the cable’s performance or reliability.

Our warranty focuses on functional integrity, not cosmetic perfection over a lifetime of use.


How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your cable has developed a fault covered under warranty, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact us with your order number

  2. Provide a brief description of the issue

  3. Include clear photos or a short video where possible

We will review the information and advise on the next steps.
Our aim is to make the process simple, fair, and hassle-free.


Shipping & Warranty Claims

  • Customers are responsible for shipping the cable to us for assessment unless otherwise agreed

  • Return shipping after repair or replacement will be covered by Cablelab where applicable

  • International customers may be responsible for customs fees, taxes, or duties

We will always communicate clearly before any action is taken.


Repairs & Replacements

Where possible, we prioritise repairing cables to extend their lifespan.

If a repair is not feasible, we will offer a replacement of equal or similar specification. As all cables are handcrafted and made to order, replacements may not be identical in colour or finish if original materials are no longer available.

Our standard maximum build time for custom cables is 3-4 weeks.

They are 99% of the time turned around well before this, and the 3-4 week timescale is a worst case scenario.

We allow this timescale as sometimes if we don’t have the raw materials in stock it can sometimes take up to a week or so to receive them.

If for any reason there's the possibility of a delay of longer than 3-4 weeks, we will contact you within 24-72 hours to notify you.

All of our cables are built in batches, don't worry if you cable is marked as being in production for a few days, it means we are working on the batch your cable is in.

We are a very small team and take great care when building custom cables to ensure they are of the highest quality.

Once your cable is finished it is then shipped. Depending on your chosen shipping option and location it may take anywhere from 2-14 business days to receive your order.

International shipping is also available.

This is extremely rare due to the effort we put in to making sure each cable is perfect.

All of our cables are tested rigorously before the leave us, but sometimes things can go wrong.

Our cables are backed with a limited lifetime warranty.

Due to the custom nature of these cables, there are no refunds or cancellations so please ensure your order is correct.
